He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Gene Board, one sister: Louise Coombs, and four brothers-in-law: Robert, Eugene “Bugs”, Larry, and Gary Anderson.

Marvin was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church. He was an ironworker out of Local 46 Springfield, for twenty-five years, and local 433 of Los Angeles, CA for ten years. He has been owner-operator of Family Custom Cleaners since 2000.

He was a member of the APA Nine Ball Wednesday Night, and Eight Ball Thursday Night Pool League. Marvin was also a member of the Eagles Lodge, Ford Antique Club, and Golden Glove Boxer in his youth.

He loved all sports and games and traveling the world with his family. His favorite pass time was building bird houses and taking care of his birds, Big R has his special mixture of bird seed “Marv’s Mix”.

Always fun loving, happy go lucky, Marvin never met a person he did not like, friend to all with a big smile on his face and a heart he didn’t touch.
