NBA Note - Washington Wizards Wall, John
G John Wall scored 21 points and continued his torrid shooting from
beyond the arc against the Sacramento Kings as the Washington
Wizards won their third consecutive game with a 110-92 victory on
Monday night.
Wall entered shooting 26.3 percent on 3-pointers but hit all four of
his attempts against the Kings after sinking 5 of 6 in Washington's
110-83 win at Sacramento on Oct. 29. In his other 10 games, the
point guard is 5 of 32.
"I think I'm taking the same exact shots, I'm just making them
against them for some reason," Wall said about his deep-shooting
success against Sacramento. "Everybody else I be 'clank.'"
Wall was 8 of 9 overall and had nine of Washington's 30 assists.

NBA Note - Cleveland Cavaliers James, LeBron
F LeBron James started a firestorm in New York with his comments on
the Knicks' selection of first-rounder Frank Ntilikina one pick
ahead of the Dallas Mavericks' impressive rookie, Dennis Smith Jr.
On Monday, James helped the Cleveland Cavaliers storm back against
New York.
James had 23 points and came one rebound short of a triple-double as
the Cavaliers rallied from a 23-point deficit to defeat the Knicks
104-101 at Madison Square Garden.
"It is never (just) another game in the Garden," James said after
Cleveland's biggest come-from-behind win in more than a decade.
"This is the best basketball arena in the world to play in. I am
happy to be a part of this and their crowd is great; their fans are
amazing. To be an opposing guy, it is a treat."
James hit a step-back, 27-foot 3-pointer to put the Cavs up by three
with 1:23 left in the game, the final dagger in an 8-0 Cleveland run
to complete a rousing comeback.
He finished with 12 assists and nine rebounds. He added three blocks
for Cleveland, which has won four of six after dropping four
straight.

but it was a struggle for him all night as the Hawks continued to
blitz each player when he got the ball. The defensive pressure
resulted in another shaky ball-handling performance for Cousins, who
had seven of New Orleans' 19 turnovers and now has an NBA-worst 75
turnovers in 14 games.

C Nikola Jokic, who came in with double-doubles in eight of his
previous 10 games, never found a rhythm in Monday's loss to the
Trail Blazers. Jokic, who was averaging 17.2 points and 12.0

rebounds in 35 minutes.

PG Rajon Rondo, who missed the first 13 games while recovering from
a core muscle injury, played five minutes against the Hawks. He
scored on a baseline layup eight seconds into the game and finished
with two points and two assists. New Orleans coach Alvin Gentry
hopes Rondo's playmaking ability will help the Pelicans cut down on
their average of 17.6 turnovers per game.

on Monday night and scored 21 points for the Warriors. Durant added
eight assists and seven rebounds. Durant took it up a notch in the
first half, breaking open a tie game with a self-imposed eight-point
run, which got rolling with his block of Magic star Aaron Gordon
inside. "It's just momentum," Durant said. "You want to have those
big momentum plays that get the crowd into it, especially you're at
home. ... I felt the energy from my teammates, from the crowd and
the coaching staff. That was a good sequence right there."

G Shaun Livingston subbed for Steph Curry as the starting point

and made just one turnover in the Warriors' seventh consecutive win
by double digits. Coach Steve Kerr said it is "amazing" how
Livingston has remade himself since he dislocated his left kneecap
in 2007. "Since he's been here he's been such a huge part of our
team on and off the floor," Kerr said. "He's one of the most mature
people I've been around in the league. Great teammate, hard worker,
incredible basketball IQ. For us to be able to play him when Steph
is out, is an incredible luxury."
