							Lillian Ruth Goldberger, 92, passed 
							away at 5:25 p.m. at the Christian Village on 
							November 6, 2017. 
							 
							Ruth was born on September 7, 1925 in St. Louis, MO; 
							daughter of Otis Conrad and Lillian (Eckberg) Moore. 
							She was united in marriage with Rev. Arthur J. 
							Goldberger on March 13, 1943 at Hope Lutheran Church 
							in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on 
							October 7, 2011. 
							 
							Surviving Ruth are her children: Linda Loos of 
							Lincoln, Rev. Arthur Jack (Kay) Goldberger of 
							Bettendorf, IA, Susan Moore of Champagne, Kathleen 
							(Pete) Bishop of West Lafayette, IN, Patricia (Jim) 
							Dermody of Monee, Laura Williams of Lincoln, and 
							Nancy Goldberger of Skokie; fourteen grandchildren; 
							thirty two great-grandchildren; four great-great 
							grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 
							parents, three brothers: King, Conrad, and Edgar 
							Moore, two sisters: Olive Moore and Jacqueline 
							Younger.

							Ruth was a member of Zion Lutheran 
							Church in Lincoln, where she was very active in 
							church activities, one being she taught Sunday 
							school for many years. She was a realtor for many 
							years and was the President for Realtors Association 
							of Logan County and also served as Executive 
							Secretary. Because of her love for children, she and 
							her husband conceived the idea of building a 
							Christian based school that is now Zion Lutheran 
							School. 
							 
							Service for Ruth will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, 
							November 10, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln 
							with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will 
							be one hour prior to service. Burial at Zion 
							Cemetery will follow the service.  
							 
							Memorials may be made in Ruth’s name to Zion 
							Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran School, or Dakota 
							Boys and Girls Ranch.  
							 
							Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
							Funeral Home in Lincoln.
