While the walls were hung with the imaginative art
and sculpture created by the members of Logan County Arts, many of
the items on display were set aside for a silent auction.
The silent auction included many holiday items that would make
terrific gifts and center pieces of a traditional family dinner.
The proceeds of the silent auction will go toward supporting the
continuing work of Logan County Arts and the Lincoln Art Institute.
The usually low key art show shifted gears up this time and elicited
some spirited bidding for unique items.
When asked why community support of the Lincoln art scene is so
important, Moses Pinkerton did not hesitate to respond “Art shapes
the world!”
Pinkerton had the distinction of creating the
silent auction item that created the most bidding and the highest
final price. While Sheralyn Bolton did her terrific impression of a
“Price is Right” hostess highlighting auction items, auctioneer
Mitch Douglas encouraged bidders to compete against one another for
one-of-a-kind art.
