MOUNT PULASKI
Nathan
Ford, son of Kelby and Angie Ford of Elkhart, has been named October
Senior of the month at Mount Pulaski High School. He was selected
for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership,
service, and character.
Nathan has stayed actively involved in school and the community
during his time at MPHS. He is a member of FFA, FCCLA, National
Honor Society, Chess Club, and the Soccer team. Nathan is currently
serving as president of the Mount Pulaski FFA chapter. He is also an
active member of his church’s youth group.
Nathan earned first place in the FFA section agronomy contest in
2015 and FFA section land use contest in 2016. He also got first in
the state Agri-science competition.
Nathan plans to go to college to study actuarial science.

The Senior of the Month program is sponsored by Johnson True
Value Hardware and Conaway Handyman Service. Monthly award winners receive a
$100 award paid to the college they plan to attend. They are also in the running
for the $500 Senior of the Year award sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
