Obituary
Harvey E. Boyer, 69, of San Jose,
passed away at 1:32 a.m. at his home surrounded by
his family. He was born May 19, 1948, in Lincoln,
the son of Clarence and Goldie Mae (Carwile) Boyer.
He was married for 32 years to Jeanne L. Onken, she
preceded him in death. His wife, Julia Lane Boyer
survives.
Also surviving are three children: Michael (Ginger)
Boyer of El Paso, Michelle (Dave) Eyrse of
Hartsburg, and Melanie (Joe) Schaler of Lincoln.
Harvey is also survived by seven grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren, and one brother: Robert (Donna)
Boyer of Havana. He was preceded in death by his
parents, one sister and three brothers.
Harvey retired from Caterpillar and later worked as
a maintenance man at Maple Ridge Care Center in
Lincoln. He loved his family very much. He enjoyed
fishing and was well known in San Jose as the man
who could fix anything.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November
20, 2017, at Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose at
11:00 a.m. Visitation will also be at the funeral
home one hour prior to the services beginning at
10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Green Hill
Cemetery in San Jose.
