Basketball Association games:
Warriors 118, Nets 111
Stephen Curry totaled 39 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists
before fouling out as the Golden State Warriors held on for a
118-111 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night.
The defending NBA champions took the lead in the first quarter and
survived a lull in the fourth quarter.
Less than 24 hours after rallying from a 24-point deficit in
Philadelphia, the Warriors did not experience any similar problems
in the first half Sunday. Golden State led for most of the final
42:08, held a 22-point lead at halftime and a 28-point edge early in
the third before the Nets got close.
Curry shot 14 of 24 from the floor and hit four 3-pointers, guiding
the offense in the absence of Kevin Durant, who sat out due to a
sprained left ankle. Allen Crabbe scored 25 points and Spencer
Dinwiddie added 21 for the Nets.
Lakers 127, Nuggets 109
Lonzo Ball recorded the second triple-double of his rookie season,
and Los Angeles rolled to a victory over Denver.
Ball finished with 11 points, 11 assists and 16 rebounds, though he
hit just 5 of 13 shots from the floor. Julius Randle scored a
season-high 24 points and Brook Lopez added 21 for the Lakers.
Gary Harris led the Nuggets with 20 points, while Wilson Chandler
scored 17. Each team had seven players produce at least 10 points
apiece.
Raptors 100, Wizards 91
DeMar DeRozan scored 33 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added six
assists as Toronto defeated Washington.
The Raptors had a three-point lead entering the fourth quarter and
built it to nine. When the Wizards moved to within five, Raptors
reserve guard Fred VanVleet made a 3-pointer with 1:15 to play.
The Wizards were playing without guard John Wall, who has a swollen
left knee. Bradley Beal paced Washington with 27 points.

Pacers 120, Heat 95
Bojan Bogdanovic scored 26 points and Myles Turner added 25 as
Indiana ended its six-game losing streak at AmericanAirlines Arena
with a win over Miami.
Indiana shot 60 percent from the floor for its easiest win of the
season.
Turner, who made 11 of 14 shots from the field, added seven
rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Indiana also got 15 points
from shooting guard Victor Oladipo, who leads the Pacers in scoring
on the season.
Pistons 100, Timberwolves 97
Detroit rallied in the fourth quarter and then held on to beat
Minnesota.
Andre Drummond had 20 points and 16 rebounds to lead Detroit, while
Avery Bradley and Tobias Harris each added 18 points. The Pistons
bounced back after dropping back-to-back games for the first time
this season. The Timberwolves saw their three-game winning streak
end.
Jimmy Butler had a team-high 26 points and 10 rebounds for
Minnesota. Andrew Wiggins added 24 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns
chipped in 16 points and nine rebounds for the Timberwolves.
Suns 113, Bulls 105
TJ Warren scored nine of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, and
the Phoenix bench contributed 50 points in the Suns' win over
Chicago.
Devin Booker had 15 points and reserves Mike James and Troy Daniels
combined for 29 as the Suns won their second straight and beat the
Bulls for the third time in the past four tries.
Rookie Lauri Markkanen had career-high 26 points and added 13
rebounds for Chicago, which missed a chance to win back-to-back
games for the first time this season.
