			Lincoln College Open House unveils new Career Services Office

			The Lincoln College Career Services Office in 
			conjunction with the College’s Excellence in Leadership Committee 
			will host an Open House in the College’s new Career Services Center, 
			located in the McKinstry Library building, on Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 
			3–4:30 p.m.   | 
        
            | 
			
			 Later that evening, Lincoln College will also host a 
			special “Excellence in Leadership” presentation featuring two guest 
			speakers from the Career Center at Illinois State University. The 
			presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Room 128A-B in the Lincoln Center 
			on the Lincoln College campus. Both events are free and open to the 
			public. 
 “Through the new Career Services Center we are expanding services to 
			our students to help them prepare for life after college and, at the 
			same time, the center can offer local employers a pipeline to 
			skilled graduates,” Director of Career Services Joe Hendrix said.
 
			 
			For the Excellence in Leadership presentation that evening, Pam 
			Cooper, Director of the Career Center at Illinois State University, 
			and Maureen Roach, Senior Assistant Director for Programs and Events 
			at the Career Center at Illinois State University, will co-present 
			and share insights gained through their nearly 50 years of combined 
			experience working in career counseling, with a focus on career 
			exploration and development, and the related value of gaining 
			leadership experiences and transferable skills.

Lincoln College enjoys an ongoing partnership with Illinois State 
University with regard to career services. As a result, Lincoln College students 
are able to access a number of resources and services provided by the ISU Career 
Center, including career counseling appointments, mock interviews, 
presentations, workshops, seminars, and job/career fairs. These resources and 
services are offered in addition to those provided by the Lincoln College Career 
Services Office.
 The open house earlier in the day will allow faculty, staff, students and 
community members to stop by and check out the new Career Services Center on the 
Lincoln campus, meet the staff, and learn more about the career resources and 
services now available to students, alumni, and potential employers.
