The event is expected to bring over 600 community
members together in celebration of healthy behaviors.
Plans for the 2018 Wellness Expo include free
inflatables for children of all ages, a variety of free health
screenings, recycling opportunities, interactive exhibits, great
prizes, giveaways, cooking demonstration, and much more. Healthcare
career information and a healthy kids cooking activity will be new
to the event this year.
“Go, Slow and Whoa Your Way to Health” is the theme of this year’s
event building on the Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH)
messaging that is currently in over 15 area schools. The “Go, Slow,
and Whoa” terminology teaches students about different types of
foods that should be eaten all the time, sometimes and only every
once awhile.
“A booth at the health fair is a great opportunity to
make your services and message known. We are looking forward to
another successful event that encourages healthy choices in Logan
County,” said Angela Stoltzenburg, director of the Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital Community Health Collaborative.
