							Clarence A. “Jack” Ackerson, 93, of 
							Lincoln passed away at 1:05 p.m. on November 25, 
							2017 at St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln. 
 Jack was born on June 2, 1924, in Lincoln; son of 
							Clarence E. and Mamie (Cuzick) Ackerson. He married 
							Margaret Ann Amberg on October 8, 1949 in Paragould, 
							AR. She survives in Lincoln.
 
 Also surviving is his daughter: Dawn (Gerald) 
							Begolka of Atlanta, one grandson: John Cunningham; 
							one brother: Robert “Bob” Ackerson. He was preceded 
							in death by his parents and three sisters: Essie 
							Marie Altman, Isabel Stout, and Erma Naugle.
 
 Jack was a Lincoln City Police Department Sergeant 
							and owner and operator of Jack’s Sunoco Station in 
							Atlanta. He attended Holy Family Catholic Church in 
							Lincoln with his wife and was a lifetime member of 
							the VFW #1756 in Lincoln.

							Jack loved his family and his Lord. 
							He took pride in being a WWII veteran, where he was 
							stationed in France, Germany, the Philippines, and 
							Japan. He loved nature and his rides through Scully 
							Park. He will be missed as a great family man and 
							friend. He lived a full life.
 Visitation for Jack will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. 
							Wednesday November 29, 2017 at 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
 
 Memorials may be made in Jack’s name to The Lincoln
