Obituary
Dean Edward Skelton, 67, passed away
at 5:00 a.m. on November 23, 2017 at heritage Health
in Springfield.
Dean was born on January 1, 1950 in Springfield, son
of Burt and Edith Marie (Allen) Skelton. He married
Joyce A. Gurnsey on June 8, 1977 in Middletown. She
preceded him in death on June 25, 2015.
Surviving Dean are his mother; two children: Adam
(Catherine) Skelton of Chatham, and Michelle (Jeff)
Killion of Elkhart; six grandchildren: Austin,
Brayden, Cadence, Hayden, Camrynn, and Graedy; three
sisters; one brother.

Dean was a United States Army Veteran
and was a member of the Middletown American Legion
Post#594.
Services for Dean will be 8:30 a.m. Tuesday November
28, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln, with Mark Weber officiating. Visitation
will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday November 27, 2017
also at the funeral home. Burial at Camp Butler
National Cemetery will follow the service where full
military rites will be accorded by the Lincoln
American Legion Post# 263. Memorials may be made in
Dean’s name to Heritage Health Hospice in
Springfield.
