Home Care of Central Illinois, a division of the Logan
County Department of Public Health (LCDPH) will be closing its doors at
the end of 2017.

New patient referrals will be accepted until October
2nd. The LCDPH home health agency has served clients throughout
Logan County and Central Illinois for nearly 35 years.
“It is unfortunate to see a program that has served the community so
well, for so long, come to an end,” said Don Cavi, Public Health
Administrator at LCDPH. Cavi added, “Newer industry regulatory
constraints coupled with increased competition from larger agencies
have made it less economically feasible for smaller home health
agencies, such as ours, to sustain a home health program.”
“We appreciate our staff and the award-winning service they
provided. In addition, we are thankful to the community for their
support of this program over the years.

Fortunately, there are other home health services
that are available to ensure people have access to the care they
will need,” said Cavi.
The LCDPH will continue to serve the community with a
broad range of public health services in conjunction with its
collaborative partners, Southern Illinois University, Center for
Family Medicine and the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. For more
information, contact LCDPH at 217-735-2317 or go online at
