Obituary
Robert L. Prunty, 89, of Lincoln passed away on
Saturday, September 23, 2017 at The Christian
Village in Lincoln.
Robert was born on April 3, 1928 in Lincoln, the son
of Floyd and Mary (Lee) Prunty. He married Virginia
Rachel Williamson on April 16, 1950 in Lincoln. She
preceded him in death on March 1, 2014.
Robert is survived by his son, Thomas (Michelle)
Prunty of Aurora, two grandchildren, Thomas Paul
Prunty Jr. and Sarah Rose Prunty. Additionally,
Robert is survived by Fran Wilson of Lincoln and
Patricia Czajkowski of Las Vegas, NV, who were both
extended and crucial members of the Prunty Family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his
wife; his brother, Jerry; his sisters, Marilyn and
June.

Robert proudly served his county in the U.S. Army
from June 1951 – September 1953 as a Mess Sergeant
and a Barber. When Robert returned to Lincoln he
worked as a barber; and later opened Prunty Barber
Shop where in 2013 they celebrated 50 years of
business. Robert enjoyed playing tennis at the
Lincoln Recreation Center. Additionally, Robert
loved going on Caribbean cruises with his wife,
Virginia.
A Memorial Service will be held for Robert at 11:00
a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the First
United Methodist Church in Lincoln with Pastor
Michael Paulson officiating. A visitation will be
held prior to the service from (9:30-11:00 am.).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in
Robert’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association.
