Basketball standout turned musician will visit Lincoln College
Campus
Henry Domercant to Perform at Free Concert
in the Johnston Center Thursday evening

LINCOLN
- Henry Domercant, a former standout NCAA basketball player, who
also played professional basketball in Europe, will be visiting the
Lincoln College campus on Thursday, Oct. 5.

Domercant will visit with Lynx basketball players
during the day and then perform a free concert for students and the
public that evening.
His visit is part of the ongoing “Excellence in Leadership” series
at Lincoln College.
Domercant has recently launched a new career as a Christian rap, hip
hop and rhythm and blues artist, with his first album, “Follow the
Leader.” He performs under the stage name HD.HighDef and will give a
free concert at 7 p.m. on the main stage in the Johnston Center on
the Lincoln College campus.
Domercant played basketball at Eastern Illinois University (EIU)
under then-coach Rick Samuels, who is now a Senior Development
Officer at Lincoln College. At Eastern he was second in NCAA
Division I scoring both in the 2001–02 season averaging 26.4 points
as a junior, and again as a senior in 2002–03 with an average of
27.9 per game. He is the all-time leading scorer in the Ohio Valley
Conference (OVC) having scored 2,602 points in his career. At the
time of his graduation, he was 30th on the NCAA all-time scoring
list.

Domercant was also the 11th player to be in the top five in the
country in scoring for three consecutive years and was OVC player of the year in
2003 as well as an Honorable Mention All-American. He played 13 years in Europe
and led the Euro league in three-point Field Goal Accuracy for a season.
He grew up in Naperville and attended Naperville North High School, before
attending Eastern Illinois University, where he graduated in 2003 with a
Bachelor’s Degree in economics. He counts his former youth pastor as one of the
greatest influences on his life. He is married and he and his wife, Ally, have
two children.
