sets Lincoln College Basketball broadcast schedule

WLNX-FM (88.9), the Lincoln College owned and operated station, will
broadcast 49 regular season basketball games during the 2017-2018
season, beginning with the both the women’s and men’s home opener on
Saturday, November 1st, against Southeastern and Hannibal- LaGrange,
respectively.
The slate includes all 28 men’s home and road games, along with 21
women’s games consisting mostly of home non-conference and nearly
all home and away NJCAA conference games. WLNX will also air men’s
Region 24 Tournament games March 8-10 in Danville, IL.
Lincoln College junior Nik Jackson of Springfield begins his third
full season as the play-by-play voice of the Lynx, while sophomore
John Antoine of Springfield will begin his second season providing
color commentary. Both students are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in
Radio, Television, and New Media while enrolled at Lincoln College.

“Nik is an outstanding student broadcaster who brings a high level
of excitement to the broadcasts,” said John Malone, Associate
Professor and WLNX-FM General Manager. “John has also become a good
fit. The on air chemistry has really gelled.” In addition to his
duties for WLNX, Jackson for the past two seasons has handled audio
play-by-play duties each summer for the Springfield Sliders baseball
team.
In addition to the FM signal in the Lincoln area, WLNX is also on
the iHeartRadio digital platform, allowing the broadcasts to be
picked up anywhere in the world. Listeners can download the app for
free and then enter WLNX in the iHeartRadio search bar.
