Morgan, who plays for the Orlando Pride in the
National Women's Soccer League, reportedly was intoxicated and
was combative, yelling that she knew members of the SWAT team.
However, no charges were filed in the incident.
"I want to apologize for my actions that occurred over the
weekend. I will learn from this make sure it does not happen
again. #liveandlearn," Morgan tweeted.
The Orlando Sentinel reported that Epcot managers called
deputies about several "impaired and verbally aggressive" people
who were "very loud and belligerent toward staff around guests."
An Orange County sheriff's deputy reported, according to the
Sentinel, that he "observed a white female, who was later
identified as Alexandria Morgan yelling, screaming and taken
(sic) video and possibly pictures. She appeared to be highly
impaired."
Also reported to be at the theme part were Morgan's husband,
Orlando City SC midfielder Servando Carrasco, and Orlando City
players Dom Dwyer, Seb Hines, Donny Toia, Joe Bendik, Scott
Sutter, Giles Barnes and Dillon Powers. They were removed from
the park.
Morgan, Toia and his wife, Courtney, were accused of trespass
and escorted out of the park by deputies. Barnes also received a
trespass warning.
"The club will address the matter internally when there is a
full understanding of what occurred," Orlando City SC said in a
statement.
Morgan is expected to play Saturday when the Pride face the
Portland Thorns in the semifinals of the women's league playoffs
at Providence Park in Portland, Ore.
Orlando City's next Major League Soccer game is Oct. 15 against
the Columbus Crew.
