September 30, 2017, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. |

Obituary
Andrea N. Virgil, 34, of Middletown, passed away on
Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 3:43 p.m. at MD
Anderson Cancer Center of Houston, Texas.
Funeral services for Andrea will be held on
Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at
Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln. Mr.
Laurin Hill will officiate. Burial will follow at
Irish Grove Cemetery in Middletown.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 8:00 a.m.
until 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral.
Andrea Nicole Virgil was born December 4, 1982, at
Brokaw Hospital in Normal, the daughter of Michael
and Terri Renfro Virgil.
Andrea is survived by her parents; one sister: Misty
(Perry Barr) Virgil of Tempe, Ariz.; fiancé Michael
Anderson of Middletown; grandparents: Clara Louise
(Jim) Denny, Jennifer Stout, and Terry Renfro; aunts
and uncles: Lisa (Dale) Nelson, Cindy (Kurt)
Wendlandt, Michelle (Mario) Bonaparte, Jay Renfro,
Steve (Bev) Virgil, Kathy, Suzzi Virgil, and Sandy
(Greg) Wilkins; countless beloved cousins; and her
beloved miniature beagle, Huntlee. |
Andrea was preceded in death by grandfathers Harold
Stout and Robert Clarence Virgil.
Andrea was a 2001 graduate of Greenview High School.
She received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree
in Panama City, Fla. She worked at the
Cardiovascular Institute at Bay Medical Center.
Memorials may be made to the family for the
endowment of melanoma research.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
