As the
unit secretary, Buse greets visitors and families when they arrive
on the acute care floor. She supports the nurses and nurse
technicians throughout her work day and ensures a healing
environment and patient privacy.
Her nominator, Nicole Sochotsky, wanted to recognize Diane for
creating a great place to work by truly caring about her co-workers.
“I commute to work and work every other weekend. So even though she
wasn’t at work on the day of a big accident on I-55 she knew I would
be called to work. She called me to tell me to be safe. It is
co-workers like this that are the reason I commute to work. Thank
you for truly caring about all your coworkers and making me feel
cared about,” said Sochotsky.
“My co-workers make ALMH great. They make me and their patients feel
special. They advocate for our patients and their families to ensure
the highest quality care,” said Buse.
