Cole's teeth in the Penguins' 4-0 win against the Predators. He is
out indefinitely. "We don't have a timeline for him to this point,"
coach Mike Sullivan said Monday. "He looks surprisingly better than
I thought he would today. There's obvious swelling and things of
that nature, but he is making progress and he'll continue to be
evaluated ... I would say he's out for the (Capitals) game (on
Wednesday)."

G Carter Hutton made 32 saves in his first start of the season in
Tuesday's 3-1 victory over the Rangers in New York. Hutton's biggest
stop came in the third period, when he denied the speedy Michael
Grabner on a breakaway. "He didn't have a big step, but I knew he
was coming. He can wheel," Hutton said. "For me, I was just trying
to match his speed. Be out, be aggressive, and we had enough back
pressure on him -- that puck was rolling, he had to make a quick
shot -- and I was able to get my shoulder on it." Between Hutton and
No. 1 Jake Allen, Blues goaltenders have stopped 139 of 148 shots
against them this season. "My job is to play on those back-to-back
nights, and whenever I get in there to go in, and compete, and play

debut Saturday night, a 2-1 overtime loss to the Golden Knights, was
gone after 6 minutes, 15 seconds Tuesday at Vegas. He allowed three
goals on five shots. Raanta said, "Of course it was a special night
for Vegas. It was great to be a part of it until five minutes into

team was going crazy. It was a tough start, but we need to learn
from it. "

seasons with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League.
-----------------------------------------------
NHL Note - Columbus Blue Jackets Bobrovsky, Sergei

the shootout." Anderson forced the shootout when he denied Sven
Baertschi on a breakaway in overtime.

circle hit Markstrom's glove then trickled into the net between his
pads. "My mistake," Marskstrom said. "It was tough against a team
like Ottawa. When you know it's going to be tight, you don't want to
give them free goals. The team really bailed me out a couple of
times here. You don't want that to become a habit."

tic-tac-toes there. We showed poise and kept making plays." Coach

circle.

first one, but we'll take the two points. It was a big win for us.

actually setting up another play, but the puck came right back in
the middle," Klingberg said. "I just move right on the blue line and
try to shoot past the blocker there. It bounced in somehow."

NHL Note - Dallas Stars Janmark, Mattias
C Mattias Janmark registered a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-2
