Obituary
Nancy A. Long, 83, of New Holland, passed away on
Friday, October 6, 2017, at her daughter's home in
Lincoln.
Graveside services for Mrs. Long will be held on
Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at St.
Mary's Cemetery in Lincoln.
Nancy Ann Even was born December 5, 1933, in Sioux
Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Aloysius J. and
Edith Buell Even. She first married Richard A.
Sheley in 1955. She later married Theodore Long in
1976. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children: Holly (Don) Johnson
and Rick (Mary Jane) Sheley; four brothers, four
sisters, five grandchildren, and eleven
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two children: Hope
Maria Sheley and Perry Michael Sheley.
Nancy was a 20-year member of the Girl Scout Council
and a member of Lincoln Community Theater and
Lincoln College Radio. She enjoyed reading and
listening to Cubs games.
Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home of Lincoln.
