(The Sports Xchange) - Jeremy
Lin is expected to miss the rest of the 2017-18 season after the
Brooklyn Nets said he sustained a ruptured patellar tendon of the
right knee in Wednesday night's regular-season opener against the
Pacers in Indiana.
Lin was injured on a drive to the basket during the fourth quarter
of the Nets' 140-131 road loss to the Indiana Pacers and had to
leave the game. He limped back to the locker room under his own
power after initially being assisted.
Before exiting the game, Lin totaled 18 points and four assists in
25 minutes. He is in the second season of a three-year, $36 million
contract he signed with Brooklyn before last season.

Jefferson. The team also announced it had waived guard Jameer

debuting in the 2001-02 season and spending his first seven seasons
with the then-New Jersey Nets. He made the NBA's All-Rookie Second
