10/27/2017 NFL Note - Minnesota Vikings Alexander, *Mackensie
CB Mackensie Alexander (hip) is listed as questionable for
Minnesota's game against Cleveland on Sunday. He was a full practice
participant.

NFL Note - Washington Redskins Foster, Mason
LB Mason Foster will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his
shoulder, the Washington Redskins announced Friday. Redskins coach
Jay Gruden said Foster would be placed on injured reserve,
effectively ending his season.

NFL Note - Washington Redskins Long, Spencer
C Spencer Long (knee) of the Washington Redskins was ruled out
Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys because of issues with his
quads.

NFL Note - Carolina Panthers Kuechly, Luke
MLB Luke Kuechly, listed as questionable on the Carolina Panthers'
Friday injury report, is expected to be cleared from the NFL
concussion protocol for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers. Kuechly was a full participant in practice Wednesday
through Friday after missing last Sunday's game against the Chicago
Bears -- the 10th contest the four-time Pro Bowl selection missed in
the past three seasons due to concussions. Coach Ron Rivera told
reporters Friday that Kuechly was meeting with the independent
physician. Kuechly, 26, has 46 tackles, one forced fumble and one
interception in six games this season.

NFL Note - Carolina Panthers Kalil, Ryan
C Ryan Kalil will miss his sixth game of the season after being
ruled out with a neck injury when the Carolina Panthers face the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Pro Bowler returned last Sunday but left
in the first half after re-aggravating the injury.
and kicker Graham Gano (knee/illness) were listed as questionable
but Rivera said he expected both to play.

NFL Note - Minnesota Vikings Diggs, Stefon
WR Stefon Diggs is listed as questionable but he is expected to be
available for Sunday's game in London between the Minnesota Vikings
and Cleveland Browns. Diggs missed the last two games with a groin
injury but was a full participant in practice Thursday and Friday.
He also was listed with an ankle injury. He has 23 catches for 395
yards and four touchdowns in five games this season.

NFL Note - Minnesota Vikings Bradford, Sam
QB Sam Bradford was officially declared out for Minnesota's game
against Cleveland on Sunday at Twickenham Stadium in London.
Bradford will sit out for the sixth time in seven games. He last
played in Week 5 against the Chicago Bears on Oct. 9. Bradford
reportedly made the trip to London but has not practiced in three
weeks. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Bradford got five
injections in his injured left knee last week as part of treatments
he received to help relieve the inflammation.

NFL Note - Indianapolis Colts Perry, Joshua
OLB Josh Perry was promoted by the Indianapolis Colts to the active
roster from the practice squad on Friday. The 6-foot-4, 253-pound
Perry was signed to the Colts' practice squad on Sept. 18. He played
in 15 games (one start) with the San Diego Chargers last season and
totaled 17 tackles, one tackle for loss and one forced fumble. Perry
also led the Chargers with nine special teams stops.

NFL Note - New York Jets Lee, Darron
LB Darron Lee was fined more than $45,000 for two plays in last
Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. Lee was fined $36,464 by
the NFL for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Dolphins quarterback Jay
Cutler and was docked $9,115 for a penalty in which he grabbed the
facemask of Miami running back Jay Ajayi.

NFL Note - New York Jets Anderson, Robby
WR Robby Anderson was also fined for throwing his helmet in the
final seconds of last week's game against the Dolphins. He was
docked $12,154.

NFL Note - Indianapolis Colts Krieger-Coble, Henry
TE Henry Krieger-Coble was waived by the Indianapolis Colts on
Friday. The 6-4, 248-pound Krieger-Coble was signed by the Colts as
a free agent on Oct. 6 and played in Week 5 against the San
Francisco 49ers. He spent the first three weeks of the season on the
team's practice squad. As a rookie in 2016, Krieger-Coble played in
the final two games of the season with Denver and caught one pass
for 13 yards after spending 15 weeks on the Broncos' practice squad.

QB Jay Cutler (ribs) will return for the Nov. 5 Oakland game as the
starter, according to head coach Adam Gase. Cutler was injured by
Jets LB Jordan Jenkins.

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Moore, Matt
QB Matt Moore (25 of 44, 176 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs, 47.2 passer
rating) was awful in his fifth start in the last 12 games. Moore
probably lost the confidence of head coach Adam Gase as well as any
realistic shot at becoming the starter.

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Ajayi, Jay
RB Jay Ajayi had 23 yards on 13 carries against Baltimore, and it
wasn't even his worst performance of the season. Ajayi had 16 yards
on 11 carries last week against the Jets, meaning the Pro-Bowl
selection has two 100-yard rushing games and four games with 51 or
fewer yards. Ajayi also has a 77-yard game.

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Allen, Nate
S Nate Allen sustained a calf injury in the third quarter of the
Baltimore game and didn't return. S Michael Thomas finished the
game.

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Alonso, Kiko
LB Kiko Alonso could be fined for his hit on Ravens QB Joe Flacco,
which left Flacco with a concussion and forced him to leave the game
in the second quarter. A suspension, which seems unlikely, is a
possibility.
Alonso said it was a "bang-bang play" and didn't know whether Flacco
would slide. Flacco did slide feet first but was bludgeoned by
Alonso regardless.

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Suh, Ndamukong
DT Ndamukong Suh said he was "protecting himself" when he grabbed
Ravens QB Ryan Mallett by the throat in the fourth quarter of
Miami's 40-0 loss at Baltimore.
"Simple as this," Suh said, explaining the incident. "He came at me
and tried to attack me, and I'm protecting myself."
Asked whether he regretted his actions, Suh replied, "I'm never
going to regret protecting myself."

DE Andre Branch (groin) missed the Baltimore game. His status for
Oakland is unclear. Branch is second on the team with 3.0 sacks.

LG Jesse Davis started in place of Anthony Steen and struggled, as
did the entire line. Technically, Davis is the third-team left guard
behind Ted Larsen (injured reserve; biceps) and Steen.

K Cody Parkey missed a 50-yard field-goal attempt wide left against
Baltimore. Parkey was 8 of 8 entering the game.

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Harris, *Charles
DE Charles Harris, the first-round pick from Missouri, got his first
start against Baltimore but wasn't much of a factor. Harris ended
with one tackle and one QB hit.

NFL Note - Jacksonville Jaguars Dareus, Marcell
DT Marcell Dareus was traded to the Buffalo Bill to the Jacksonville
Jaguars on Friday.
Dareus, who had been in and out of the starting lineup under
first-year coach Sean McDermott, will be reunited with Jacksonville
head coach Doug Marrone, who coached the Bills in 2013 and 2014.
Buffalo will reportedly receive a sixth-round draft pick in the deal
that could become a fifth-round pick based on performance. Dareus is
a two-time Pro Bowl selection who signed a six-year, $100 million
extension with the Bills in 2015, with $60 million guaranteed.
Buffalo cut $5.73 million off its 2017 salary cap and $2.375 million
off the 2018 number, as well as potential over $14 million each in
non-guaranteed years 2019, 2020 and 2021. The former No. 3 overall
pick out of Alabama was suspended for the first game of the 2015
season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy and sat out
the first four games of 2016 for another violation of the same
policy.
