Mount Pulaski volleyball sweeps Warrensburg-Latham

[September 06, 2017]    The Hilltoppers Volleyball Team traveled to Warrensburg-Latham Tuesday night and both visiting squads came away with victories. After losing each of the first sets the Hilltoppers bounced back to win in exciting fashion.

 

The Mount Pulaski JV dropped the first set to the Cardinals 23-25 before winning set two 25-16 and finally taking the third set 15-4.

The Mount Pulaski Varsity lost their first set 24-26 and then edged out the Cardinals 25-22 in set two.
The Hilltoppers took the third set 25-18.

Junior Skylar Hayes led the Hilltoppers with 15 kills. Sophomore Paige Stewart came up big in the win with 9 kills and 4 blocks. Junior Abigail Fitzpatrick had 8 kills and 26 digs.

Mount Pulaski hosts Greenview at home Thursday night.

The evening will kick off with a Spaghetti Dinner from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. featuring spaghetti, salad, dessert and a drink for a donation. The money raised will go to benefit the family of Evan Connor.

The JV match begins at 6 p.m. with Varsity to follow.
