As a medical coder, Hudson is responsible for coding
patient accounts so that insurance companies can be appropriately
billed for services provided at the hospital. Medical coders review
documentation regarding procedures and patient conditions relying on
ICD-10 (International Statistical Classification of Diseases and
Related Problems) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) code
books to translate physician notes into medical codes.

five years I can honestly say I’ve always looked forward to coming
to work. The medical records department is like a family and we all
work great together and with other departments,” said Hudson.

the honor. “She goes above and beyond each day to instill
professionalism in her position here at ALMH. Her work ethic is
proof that she takes an immense amount of pride in her job. She is a
pleasure to work with and makes ALMH medical records a great place

She holds an Associate Degree in business administration and a
Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare management.
