On Monday night the Stags Varsity team defeated
Tremont on the road by scores of 25-15, 21-25 and 27-25.
The Stags JV team also defeated Tremont 25-15 and 25-9.
Coach Jennifer Hayes said following the match versus Tremont,
“It was a tough game played in a tough gym. It was loud and
Tremont brought a great crowd. We got up early in game one and
finished it pretty handily. Game two was an example of not
finishing. Tremont never gave up and played great defense and
put up a great block. They scraped their way back in the game
and we let them. Game three was a game of unforced errors on our
part. But we kept fighting and dug down deep to pull out a win
when we weren’t playing our best. That says a lot about a team."

Hartem hosted Athens on Tuesday night and the Stags Varsity
defeated the Warriors 25-23 and 25-21.
The Stags Varsity is now 9-1 on the season.
