This year's festival theme carried over into the
parade was "Garden Fun." The parade was full of school band members,
children in costume, and a variety of creative floats and classic
cars. Like last year, the parade also included an appearance by the
Tin Lizzie Patrol. The Patrol is a mobile parade unit consisting of
several miniature Model-T replicas.
The parade also featured local emergency units,
such as the Atlanta Fire Department and Rural Fire Department, as
well as the Atlanta Rescue Squad. And of course, there was plenty of
candy for children watching on the sidelines.
After the parade, people gathered at the city park. There they could
find several vendors selling homemade crafts, such as quilts or
homemade doll clothes. There were a few carnival rides to choose
from, and a few games to play with prizes to win. There was also
plenty of food for sale, from both vendors and the Atlanta Methodist
Church BBQ grilling chicken for the large meal served in the
Community House in the evening.

Other activities on Saturday included a Baking Contest, fire
truck rides, an Audra's Dance performance and Karaoke.
The festival opened in the park on Thursday with a pork chop supper prepared by
the Atlanta Rotary, Zeiler Amusements, musical performance by Bobbie Bell; and
Bingo, which took place every night.
The festival wrapped up on Sunday morning with an All-community Worship in the
park.
