This week Brad Matthews Construction and RBC/R&L Towing were out at the Railsplitter Covered Wagon doing repairs caused by recent wind damage. After the wagon toppled over a few years ago it was repositioned to help withstand strong winds better, and that has worked out pretty well. Matthews explained that the the high-speed winds that passed through Logan County earlier this summer did do some damage. The winds caused the wagon to shift a bit, putting stress on one of the wagon's wheels and causing a broken spoke. Matthews crew tackled the repair with help from tow truck owner Bob Gaston, who donated his equipment and time for the project.
