[September 28, 2017]  C Deyshawn Bond (ankle) had limited practice time on Wednesday. Bond has started all three games for the Colts this season as he fills in for injured starter Ryan Kelly.

He is expected to start at Seattle Sunday night.

SLB Lawrence Timmons was in no mood to elaborate on going AWOL, his suspension or reinstatement Wednesday. The answer to almost every question was along the lines of "I'm happy to be a Miami Dolphin, I'm happy to be back." Timmons, who apologized to the organization and fans for being a distraction, avoided answering almost every question directly. He was asked why he left the team and replied, "I'm just happy to be a Miami Dolphin." He was asked if he addressed the team as a whole and replied, "I'm just, like I said, happy to be here. I'm just happy to be here."

MLB Rey Maualuga (hamstring) had limited participation in practice Wednesday, but head coach Adam Gase still isn't sure whether he'll be able to play Sunday. Maualuga hasn't gone through an entire practice since joining the team earlier this month.

The 49ers hope to get their starter in SS Eric Reid's absence back on the field on a full-speed basis by the end of the practice week. He is questionable for Sunday's game at Arizona.

NFL Note - Los Angeles Rams Westbrooks, Ethan

DE Ethan Westbrooks was arrested in Bakersfield on Friday on five felony gun charges.

Westbrooks was pulled over for speeding by the California Highway Patrol, and the officer found a loaded gun that wasn't registered to Westbrooks. He was subsequently arrested and charged with five counts: Carrying a loaded firearm, receiving known stolen property, carrying a loaded stolen weapon, grand theft of a firearm and possessing a high-capacity large magazine.

His arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 5.

"It's just a bad situation," Westbrooks said.

The Rams have not yet said whether they will take disciplinary action against the three-year veteran.

NFL Note - Los Angeles Rams Gurley, Todd

RB Todd Gurley leads the NFC with six total touchdowns through the first three games. He is tied with Kansas City running back Kareem Hunt for the most touchdowns in the NFL. Gurley has scored four rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns. His six touchdowns equals his total from all 16 games a season ago.

NFL Note - Tampa Bay Buccaneers Beckwith, Kendell

LB Kendell Beckwith faced long odds being ready to play in September after tearing his ACL in a game against Florida last November. Not only did he make it to training camp, 10 months later he has earned a starting job at strong-side linebacker. But an injury to middle linebacker Kwon Alexander has even elevated his role. Beckwith is the backup middle linebacker. He started Sunday's game at Minnesota and had eight tackles, including six solo. After the injury to Lavonte David, Beckwith was given the helmet communicator. On Sunday against the Giants, Beckwith will be getting the calls from defensive coordinator Mike Smith and responsible for getting players lined up against Eli Manning. "Nothing surprises me about Kendell,'' head coach Dirk Koetter said.
