The Hartem Stags continue to roll over the
competition. Thursday night the Stags traveled I-55 to
Williamsville and took care of business in two sets, 25-20 and
25-19 the scores. Behind 17 kills from junior Anna Hayes, it’s a
good bet the Bullets didn’t know what hit ‘em.
Hayes, who was just named the MaxPreps Player of the Week, is a
6-foot outside hitter and also the daughter of Coach Jennifer
Hayes. Hayes has already committed to attend the University of
Wisconsin-Green Bay and is nearing 1000 kills for her high
school career. With less than double digits to go to reach that
goal, it’s a safe bet to say at Monday night’s game in Hartsburg
versus Midwest Central she will reach that milestone.
The good news keeps coming as the Hartem JV also defeated
Williamsville in two sets, 25-8 and 25-16.
Hartem will take the weekend off from volleyball action but the
Stags will return home Monday night with a spectacular 16-3
record so far on the season.
