F LeBron James missed practice Thursday after injuring his left
ankle the previous night. The Cavaliers said James suffered the
injury during a Wednesday night practice. James underwent X-rays
and they were negative. He is listed as day-to-day.

NBA Note - Oklahoma City Thunder Anthony, Carmelo
F Carmelo Anthony said Thursday that potential trades involving
the New York Knicks with both the Cleveland Cavaliers and
Houston Rockets fell through at the last minute before he ended
up with the Oklahoma City Thunder. "A deal was done with Houston
early, then for some reason, whatever happened behind the
scenes, it didn't go through," the 33-year-old Anthony told
SiriusXM Radio. "It fell through, then we had to really start
paying attention and thinking about other options." Anthony was
sent to Oklahoma City for center Enes Kanter, forward Doug
McDermott and the Chicago Bulls' 2018 second-round draft pick
from the Thunder. The 6-foot-8, 240-pound Anthony, a 10-time
All-Star and 14-year NBA veteran, joined the Thunder having
appeared in 976 career games (all starts) while averaging 24.8
points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals.

NBA Note - Denver Nuggets Mudiay, Emmanuel
PG Emmanuel Mudiay had his fourth-year option exercised by the
Denver Nuggets. The 6-foot-5 Mudiay, the No. 7 overall pick in
2015, averaged 12.0 points and 4.8 assists in his first two
seasons.

NBA Note - Denver Nuggets Lyles, Trey
F Trey Lyles had his fourth-year option exercised by the Denver
Nuggets. The 6-foot10 Lyles averaged 6.1 points in two seasons
with Utah. He was acquired from the Jazz in a draft-night trade
in June.

NBA Note - Denver Nuggets Murray, Jamal
SG Jamal Murray had his third-year option exercised by the
Denver Nuggets. The 6-foot-4 Murray, the seventh overall pick in
2016, averaged 9.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists en route
to earning All-Rookie second-team honors.

NBA Note - Denver Nuggets Beasley, Malik
G Malik Beasley had his third-year option exercised by the
Denver Nuggets. The 6-foot-5 Beasley appeared in 22 games as a
rookie with Denver and averaged 3.8 points. The No. 19 overall
selection also posted averages of 18.9 points and 7.6 assists
with Sioux Falls of the NBA D-League.

NBA Note - Denver Nuggets Hernangomez, Juancho
F Juancho Hernangomez had his third-year option exercised by the
Denver Nuggets. Hernangomez, taken 15th overall, averaged 4.9
points and 3.0 rebounds in 62 games last season.
