09/29/2017 NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Iupati, Mike

LG Mike Iupati is likely headed for injured reserve and surgery
after it was discovered that a bone spur had broken off near his
right elbow and was cutting a tendon that had affected his triceps
and forced him to miss the last two games. If Iupati tried to play
through the injury, head coach Bruce Arians said Iupati ran the risk
of having the tendon cut in half.

He will be out for a minimum of eight weeks, at best, Arians said.

With Iupati out, the Cardinals will turn to either John Wetzel, Will
Holden or possibly Daniel Munyer. That's because Iupati's backup,
veteran Alex Boone, is expected to be sidelined at least another
week or two with a pectoral injury.

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Humphries, D.J.

LT D.J. Humphries was thought to be trending forward from his
sprained MCL, but he was limited in practice all week and he now
likely will be a game-time decision Sunday against the 49ers.

"We'll see," is all head coach Bruce Arians would say about
			Humphries' availability.

If he can't go, John Wetzel likely will make his third consecutive
start at left tackle. Regardless of who starts where, the Cardinals
will be using their third different offensive line combination in
four games to start the season, which isn't ideal.

"It can be difficult, but at the same time we've just got to work
with what we have," Wetzel said. "We've just got to, in general, get
better as a whole whoever is in there."

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Bucannon, Deone

ILB Deone Bucannon will make his season debut Sunday after missing
all the offseason, training camp, the preseason and the first three
regular-season games recovering from ankle surgery. He will be put
in certain packages and split time with rookie Haason Reddick, who
replaced him in the starting lineup.

Bucannon's return, head coach Bruce Arians said, brings "more speed,
more toughness. He brings all the heart when he plays."

"I pride myself on just leaving it all out there for my teammates,"
Bucannon said. "I'm not going to back down from any challenge. My
teammates know that. I'm a physical guy and I like being in the mix.
			I've always been a competitor."

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Brown, John

WR John Brown (quadriceps) has been cleared to play and will see his
first action in three weeks when he plays against the 49ers on
Sunday. Brown will be on what amounts to a pitch count, head coach
			Bruce Arians said.

"He can't go out there and play 70 plays or he'll be right back
where he was," Arians said. "But he'll be available and he'll play."

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Nkemdiche, *Robert

DT Robert Nkemdiche aggravated a calf strain this week in practice
and has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the 49ers.

			week with a foot injury.

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Baltimore Ravens Watson, Benjamin

report after returning for a full practice Friday. He missed the
past two days with a calf injury.

NFL Note - Chicago Bears Demps, Quintin

S Quintin Demps (arm) was placed on injured reserve Monday (Sept.
			29) with a broken arm suffered the previous week against Pittsburgh.
Adrian Amos started in his place against Green Bay.

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Chicago Bears Hicks, Akiem

DE Akiem Hicks (foot) played the entire game against Green Bay after
he was a late add to the injury report prior to the game with an
			injury suffered late last week.

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Chicago Bears Sitton, Josh

G Josh Sitton (ribs) played after he was questionable for the game,
and it marked the first time this season the Bears have had their
entire offensive line intact. However, the initial plan was to play
Sitton at right guard and Kyle Long at left guard. But Sitton played
left guard and Long played right guard Thursday, just as they had
			done last year.

NFL Note - Chicago Bears Howard, *Jordan

RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) had to come out of the game briefly just
one time due to the injury he's been battling since Week 1. He
returned and was able to play it out.

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Green Bay Packers Adams, Davante

WR Davante Adams was released from the hospital Friday morning after
taking a vicious hit from Chicago Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan
during Thursday night's game. Adams, 24, of the Green Bay Packers
spent the night at the hospital under observation after being
diagnosed with a concussion. Adams offered an update on his status,
tweeting: "At home feeling great. Appreciate the prayers." The
Packers were upset by the hit in the third quarter of their 35-14
win at Lambeau Field after Adams was transported by ambulance to
Bellin Hospital in Green Bay to undergo evaluations for a head and
neck injury and a concussion. Adams was taken off the field on a
gurney after being motionless immediately following Trevathan's
helmet-to-helmet contact at the end of an 8-yard reception from
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers with about five minutes to go in
			the third quarter.

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Green Bay Packers Randall, Damarious

CB Damarious Randall was benched after allowing a touchdown pass to
Kendall Wright late in the first half. Then Randall was sent to the
locker room by Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.

McCarthy wouldn't elaborate what took place between Randall and
Green Bay's coaches leading up to it. But McCarthy did say the
matter would be handled internally and Randall would be with the
team when they return to work Tuesday.

"Damarious Randall last night, it was a coach's decision, my
decision to send him to the locker room," McCarthy said. "And
frankly, we've got to be real honest here, we're going to start
evaluating and regulating conversation and things that go on on an
NFL sideline? Let's be real here.

"I know someone might make a good drama series out of it or
something, but it's not going to happen here. It's an internal
matter as I stated (Thursday) night. Anytime things happen
throughout the course of our operation, whether it's in a game,
practice and so forth, I can promise you there's dialogue and it's
an internal matter that's being handled internally. I will make it
clear because it was on the field, It was a coach's decision, my
decision, for Damarious to go into the locker room."

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Green Bay Packers Adams, Davante

WR Davante Adams suffered a concussion after a helmet-to-helmet hit
from Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan. Adams was down on the Lambeau
Field turf for several minutes before being taken to a nearby
			hospital.

On Friday, Adams was released from the hospital, but he'll be in the
			concussion protocol program.

"Brutal hit. It's a helmet-to-helmet hit," McCarthy said. "Davante
was in a compromised position. Obviously like everything in our game
it's evaluated and I'm sure there will be continued conversation
going on through the channels long past today."

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Green Bay Packers Matthews, Clay

LB Clay Matthews became the Packers' all-time leader in sacks with
75, passing former defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (74.5).
Matthews got the record after a strip-sack on Bears quarterback Mike
			Glennon.

"To me, after that play, I wanted a few more," Matthews said. "It's
cool to be up there with some of the greats, especially in such an
amazing organization. That's pretty cool, but the further I'm
removed from it, the more it will mean to me."

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Green Bay Packers Montgomery, Ty

RB Ty Montgomery suffered broken ribs against Chicago and could miss
some time. The Packers' next game is Oct. 8 against Dallas.

"I really don't have a clear answer on exactly what Ty is dealing
with and how he can move forward," had coach Mike McCarthy said. "I
know today the conversation with the trainers, as far as his
conversation with the trainers, he's preparing to get ready to play
			in Dallas."

RB Jamaal Williams suffered a knee injury against Chicago, but it
didn't involve any ligament damage. Williams could be back as early
			as Week 5.

			-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - San Francisco 49ers Williams, K'Waun

CB K'Waun Williams was signed to a three-year contract extension
through the 2020 season, the 49ers announced Friday. Williams, 26,
originally signed a one-year deal with the 49ers on Feb. 22. In his
first season in San Francisco, the 5-9, 183-pound Williams has
played in each of the team's first three games (one start) and
registered 14 tackles and two passes defensed.
