Lincoln Railers softball drop two to Mahomet-Seymour

The Lincoln Railers softball team hosted a conference doubleheader
with Mahomet-Seymour on Saturday. Lincoln was shutout 4-0 in the
first game and fell 15-10 in game two.
In game one Lincoln got hits from Macailey Metelko and Mya Kate
Kirgan. Kerstin Osborne pitched for Lincoln and she allowed four
runs on five hits while striking out four batters. Osborne went the
distance for Lincoln, pitching all seven innings.
In game two Lincoln came up short and lost 15-10 to Mahomet-Seymour.
Mahomet-Seymour scored six runs in the first inning and exploded for
nine runs in the third inning against Lincoln.
Lincoln had six hits in the loss with Sydney Sutherland and Emily
Paulus each recording two hits. Kirgan and Osborne also had hits.
Osborne was on the mound again for Lincoln and she surrendered 15
runs on 15 hits over six innings of work. Osborne struck out three
batters and walked one.
*Lincoln will play all conference games on Saturdays as part of a
doubleheader. If Lincoln is hosting, game one will be played as a
home game and game two will see Lincoln as the visiting team.
With the current weather situation it is anybody's guess when the
next game will be.
