Numerous customers commented on Facebook that it was their go-to
place for fast pizza, and their pricing made it attractive for
college students and possible to feed the whole family. Their
advertized regular price for a large cheese pizza was $5 and the
pizzas were ready-made and waiting when you walked in the door.
In addition to being a place to get fast, ready to eat pizza,
Little Caesars was also a significant employer for the college
students, who did everything from waiting on customers, making
the pizzas, and delivering.
Employees at Little Caesars said that the closing is a surprise
to them also, that they didn’t know about it until Friday.
Lincoln has long been “pizza city,” with many pizza only shops,
convenience stores and restaurants selling pizza.
