KIDS WORSHIP FOR APRIL

The Art of Prayer

If you’ve got kids, or if you are a kid, we know this, ‘kids talk!’ In Kids Worship during the month of April, we will focus on “the art of prayer!” God wants us to talk with Him just like we’d talk to a friend, but He doesn’t want us to just talk about ourselves all of the time. He also doesn’t want our prayers to be a big show. The great thing is that Jesus taught His friends how to pray and what to pray for! During this month we will learn to follow His example and we’ll discover some other people in the Bible who spent time praying. We can learn a lot from them, so we are hoping you will be with us in worship every single week during this important series! Our key verse for this month is 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “Never stop praying.” Moms and Dads, if you would like to talk with your kids about our study, the topics are listed below.

Jesus Teaches Us How to Pray. Matthew 6:5–13. We pray as Jesus prayed.

David Prays. Psalms 5:1–3; 34:4–7. We expect God to answer our prayers.

Jonah Prays. Jonah 2. We know God hears us when we pray.

The Parable of the Persistent Widow. Luke 18:1–8. We pray without giving up
