Obituary
Martha Jane Bailey Embery, 80, of
Lincoln passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at
her home.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday,
April 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta
Christian Church with Mr. Terry Lee Bailey
officiating.
Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.
Martha Jane Bailey was born on November 27, 1937 in
Leroy, Illinois the daughter of Roscoe and Cora
(Virgie) Satterfield Bailey. She was united in
marriage to Dewey Varboncoeur. He preceded her in
death. She later married Thurman Embery .
She is survived by her sons: Ike Varboncoeur, Mike
(Becky) Varbconeur both of Lincoln, Roscoe (Kelly)
Embery of Atlanta, Ray Embery of Heyworth. four
brothers: Larry Bailey, Deon Bailey, Terry Lee
Bailey, A.J. Bailey. Two sisters: Rosie Rogers, Gail
Denny. Ten Grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. |
She was preceded in death by her parents, five
brothers, and two sisters.
Martha Jane had previously worked at the Dixie Truckers Home in
McLean and Country Aire Restaurant in Atlanta.
Memorials may be given to her family or Lincoln Fire Department.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
