Bloomington edges Lincoln 3-1 in girls softball

The Lincoln Railers softball team was defeated 3-1 Wednesday
afternoon by Bloomington.
Lincoln scored in the first inning when Jacey Cooper and Sydney
Worth each walked to start the game and then senior Kerstin
Osborne's RBI single scored Cooper. Lincoln continued to threaten in
the first inning with the bases loaded but a fly ball and two
strikeouts ended the Railers hopes of adding to the lead.
Bloomington tied the game in the bottom of the first inning. The
Raiders scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take
the 3-1 lead. The Raiders held off Lincoln the rest of the game and
went on to claim the 3-1 victory.
Osborne and Emily Paulus each had hits for Lincoln.
Osborne tossed six innings and allowed three runs on five hits. She
struck out one batter.
