New Holland-Middletown Elementary
District 88 teachers had a special guest at the faculty meeting last
Wednesday. The Meemic Foundation, which has been supporting
education through grants and philanthropy since 1992 as a nonprofit
founded by Meemic Insurance, routinely offers grant opportunities to
educators in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan totaling over
$2,000,000 over the past two decades.
The grants, typically awarded to teachers for innovative approaches
to meeting curricular and student needs, were awarded to three of
the district’s teachers (Shelby Wall-3rd grade, Lindsey Moore-2nd
grade, Diane Bicknell-PE/Title I) totaling $300 this year.
