Friday: Lincoln Railers softball loses to Limestone 5-2

The Limestone Rockets Softball Team jumped on the Lincoln Railers
early Friday and scored five runs in the first two innings. Lincoln
had a couple errors in that first inning that allowed the Rockets to
score and eventually take a 3-0 lead. The Rockets added two more
runs in the second inning against Lincoln starter Kerstin Osborne.
Lincoln did manage to get runs in the third and fifth innings. With
Hailey West in the circle for Limestone, the Rockets were able to
put together a solid defensive effort behind her and come away with
the 5-2 win.
Osborne took the loss for Lincoln. Offensively Osborne was 2-for-4
at the plate with two RBIs. Sydney Worth and Mya Kate Kirgan also
had hits for Lincoln.
