Saturday: Mount Zion sweeps Railers in Apollo Conference

The Mount Zion Braves swept the Lincoln Railers baseball team on
Saturday by scores of 9-5 and 10-0.
In game one the Railers fell behind early and just could not mount a
successful comeback. Mount Zion had a 9-0 lead by the end of the
third inning against Lincoln starter Nate Arnold. Arnold lasted
three innings, giving up the nine runs on ten hits and striking out
four batters.
The Railers did score four runs in the sixth inning with Arnold,
Brenden Eigenbrod, Jack Eimer and Colton Holliday all driving in
runs.
Holliday went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Lincoln.
Mount Zion had 11 hits off Lincoln pitching.

Game two
In game two the Braves continued to dominate the Railers. Mount Zion
had a 6-0 lead after one inning of play. The Braves chased Lincoln
starter Colton Holliday from the game early and his stat line
consisted of one inning of work, allowing three hits and six runs
while striking out one batter.
Cameron Glick and Noah Funk pitched in relief for Lincoln.
Funk, Drew Singleton and Dreyden Pozsgai each had hits for Lincoln.
