2018 Pie Auction raises money for the
Logan County Fair

Saturday, August 4th
after the chili cook-off, a pie auction was held in the KC Pavilion
to raise money for the Logan County Fair Foundation. This year, the
pies auctioned off raised $1,500.

There were twelve entries this year.
The first pie up for bidding was Rebekah Johnson’s
apple pie, which was purchased by Wayne Hanner for $85.
Carlene Carter’s pineapple streusel was purchased by
Marcia Warner for $50.
Lucretia Tackett’s apple pie was purchased by Janet Estill for $85.
Her peach pie was also purchased by Janet Estill for $175.
Hannah Crider’s tripleberry pie was purchased by Pat
Bay of Lincolnland Catering for $95.
Alex Bergin’s apple pie was purchased for $75 by Bill
Gleason.

David Carter’s pecan pie was purchased for $95 by
Kevin Ritchhart of Ritchhart’s Mobile Zoo.
Diane McShane’s blackberry/blueberry pie was
purchased by Bob Cooper for $375. Her peach pie was purchased by
Steve Aughenbaugh for $375.
Darlene Crider’s grand champion honey almond pie was
purchased by Wayne Hanner for $100. Her apple pie was purchased by
Wayne Hanner for $95 and her pecan pie was purchased by Kevin and
Nancy Courtwright for $75.
These generous bidders will enjoy some sweet treats while at the
same time helping raise money to help keep the Logan County Fair
going.
