On
Saturday evening, live entertainment at the Logan County Fair took
on a new twist. Instead of holding the annual Country Concert in the
grandstands an area was curtained off in the southeast corner of the
fairground and the concert was held with an open air concert feel.

There were some bleachers provided and risers with
chairs, but many of those in attendance brought their blankets or
lawn chairs and sat back for an evening of great entertainment under
the night sky.
The show opened with a band with local roots. Brushville calls
Bloomington its home town, but Logan County can claim guitarist Kirk
Ellis as its own. Ellis is a 1986 graduate of Lincoln Community High
School.
The band took to the stage Saturday evening as the opening act for
Easton Corbin.

In addition to some great music the shows included
special effects and lighting that set the mood for a really upbeat
evening.
During the program event coordinator David Irwin with assistance
from Logan County Fair Queen Molly Schempp drew out the number for a
$100 drawing, then Dan Naughton of Naughton Auctions auctioned off a
guitar signed by Easton Corbin.
