Lincoln Tae Kwon Do competes in the Douglas Grose Memorial Martial Arts Tournament

Results of competitors from Lincoln Tae Kwon Do in Lincoln who participated in the Douglas Grose Memorial Martial Arts Tournament held August 4, 2018, at First English Lutheran Church in Peoria.

The event was hosted by Master Vera Harrison.

Master Harrison conducted a very well organized tournament with participants from throughout the United States. There was a very high caliber of competition in a variety of styles. All were tough!

This day was a pleasant experience for our Lincoln competitors.

Twenty-two 1st places, six 2nd places and one 3rd place!

The eleven Lincoln competitors who participated in Olympic Style Sparring Competition resulted in nine 1st places and one 2nd place and one 3rd place.

Nine of the eleven competitors participating in Forms Competition resulted in eight 1st places and three 2nd places in their respective divisions.

Khoa Phan won the Overall Forms Grand Champion in the Tae Kwon Do competition.

Six of the eleven competitors who participated in Breaking Competition resulted in six 1st places and two 2nd places.

Sydney Phan (8-year-old Blue Belt) - 1st Karate Forms, 1st Taekwondo Forms, 1st Karate Breaking, 2nd Taekwondo Breaking

David Bard (11-Year-old Blue Belt) - 1st Sparring, 2nd Breaking

Joshua Day (Men’s Special Division Green Belt) - 1st Sparring and 1st Forms

Cerenitii Bard (10-year-old Blue Belt) - 1st Sparring

Luke Hinch (16-year-old Blue Belt) - 2nd Sparring, 2nd Breaking

David Williams (Men’s Green Belt) - 1st Sparring, 1st Forms

Moriah Williams (11-year-old Green Belt) - 1st Sparring, 1st Forms
