[August 10, 2018]    The Arizona Coyotes signed center Christian Dvorak to a six-year contract extension, the team announced Thursday.

The Coyotes didn't divulge terms of the deal, but Arizona Sports reported it is worth an average of $4.45 million per season. That means Dvorak is slated to earn $26.7 million over the course of the pact.

The 22-year-old Dvorak is now signed through the 2024-25 season.

"We are very pleased to sign Christian to a long-term contract," Arizona general manager John Chayka said in a news release. "Christian is a highly skilled, reliable, two-way center who continues to improve each season.

"He will be a key player for us in the future and we are thrilled to have him with us for the next seven seasons."

Dvorak will make a base salary of $832,500 this season in the final campaign of a three-year deal.

Dvorak recorded 37 points (15 points, 22 assists) in 78 games last season in his second NHL campaign. Overall, he has 30 goals and 40 assists (70 points) in 156 games with Arizona.

Dvorak was a second-round draft pick in 2014.
