Obituary
Janet Hooten Clucas, 61, of Berea,
Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 12,
2018. She was born on August 16, 1956 in
Bloomington, to the late Ken and Marcia Lane Ford.
Janet grew up in Atlanta and graduated from Olympia
High School. She married Tim Clucas in 2015. Janet
spent her career working in the mailing and
packaging system industry and was an accomplished
pianist. She especially loved her time as pianist
for the McLean United Methodist Church choir, with
her stepfather Ted as her director.
Janet is survived by her husband Tim, her son Chad
(Abby) Hays of Tolono, stepdaughter Amber (Joe)
Mishler of Ohio, granddaughters Alexa, Norah and
Amelia, and grandson Callen; siblings Steve (Sheila)
Ford, Debbie (Chuck) Van Hoorn and Carol Ford; three
nieces Renee (John) Goddard, Rebecca (Joel) Pabst,
Rachel Ford and one nephew Jake (Briana) Van Hoorn;
two great-nephews and one great-niece; beloved Aunt
Chris (Dale) Colaw and Uncle Dick (Jan) Lane and
precious cousins Susan, Dee, Jaci and their
families. |
Janet was preceded in death by her first husband Todd
Hays, father Ken Ford, stepfather Ted Long, mother Marcia Long and
brother David Ford.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for an
education fund for her precious grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the McLean United Methodist Church at 201 S.
Blatchford Street on August 15 from 5 -7 p.m. A celebration of life
service will be conducted at the church on Thursday, August 16, at
10:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Minier Cemetery.
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
