The Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society will meet on
Monday, August 20th, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the LCG&HS Center at 114 N
Chicago Street in Lincoln.
There will be a program presented by Dr. Pamela Moriearty, a
University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalist volunteer.
She will share a presentation on "Bees: Not Just Sweet Talk". Dr.
Moriearty will compare the lives of honey bees and other less
familiar bee species of Illinois - how they got here, how they live,
what they do for us, and what is their future in our environment.

As Moriearty recently stated, "Most people are familiar with the industrious,
socially sophisticated honey bees, but they're certainly not the bee-all of our
apian population. Some fascinating and helpful bees live unnoticed in our own
back yards, and our futures are intertwined."
The public is invited to stay for refreshments shortly after a short meeting.
Guests are Welcome!!
