Obituary
Joseph K. Jones, 93, of Lincoln
passed away peacefully at his home August 11, 2018.
Born in Seymour on January 18, 1925. Son of Lonie
and Doris Jones. Married Elsie Rittenhouse on July
9, 1943. Married 64 years and 10 days. Elsie passed
away July 19, 2007.
Survivors: Three daughters Janet (David) Bell of
Scottdale, Arizona, Janice Kubicek Irving, Texas and
Marsha (Frank) Comito Brooklyn, New York. Five
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents,
five brothers and one sister.
Served on Broadwell School Board,
Broadwell Christian Church Board, served as Elder on
Jefferson St. Christian Church Board, fifty plus
years as Masonic Lodge Member. Farmed 52 years south
of Broadwell for the Noel Family of Champaign. |
A Memorial Service will be held at
11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with
Michael Mallick officiating. Visitation will take
place from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018
also at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Christian
Village (Christian Horizons) Nursing Home Lincoln
and Jefferson Street Christian Church of Lincoln.
Private burial.
