The ride is schedule to stop at The
Mill Museum from 1:25pm to 2:10pm. This year’s event is part of a
series of official year-long events celebrating the Illinois
			Bicentennial.
The Governor’s Ride, which begins on Sunday in Shorewood, Illinois,
will then travel from The Mill Museum
to Springfield for the Bicentennial Plaza Dedication at 3pm.

This will be Governor Rauner’s third visit to The Mill Museum since
the grand opening of the Route 66 attraction last year. Ice cold
water will be provided to the riders again this year, courtesy of
			the Logan County Tourism Bureau.

“The public is invited to The Mill this Sunday to meet Governor
Rauner. He has been a great supporter of The Mill and Illinois Route 66. This is
also a good opportunity to see the museum collection and the Route 66 gift shop
at The Mill – including artifacts from The Mill, The Tropics Restaurant and the
Pig Hip Restaurant,” said Geoff Ladd of the Route 66 Heritage Foundation of
Logan County.
Admission to The Mill is free and suggested donations are welcome. Recommended
visitor arrival time is 1pm, with the Motorcycle ride expected at 1:25pm.
