							Alice Jean Row, 98, moved to her new 
							home in heaven November 27, 2018 at Vonderleith 
							Living Center in Mount Pulaski. 
 Alice was born in Tallulah, Louisiana June 10, 1920 
							and at two years of age moved to Lincoln, Illinois 
							with her family. She attended Sigg country school, 
							Lincoln Community High School, and Lincoln Business 
							College.
 
 In 2003, Alice lost her loving husband of sixty two 
							years, Dale (Pete) Row.
 
 She was preceded in death, by her parents, four 
							sisters, nephew Dr. William Blackwell, great niece 
							Debbie (Tom) Nisbett, and step-great-grandson, 
							Nathan O’Neill.
 
 She is survived by her son, Jon (Sheri) Row 
							Huntington Beach, California, step-grandsons, 
							Michael and Patrick O’Neill, and nephew, Danny (Amy) 
							Row of Lincoln.
 
 Alice was Assistant Savings Officer at Olympic 
							Federal Savings & Loan in Lincoln for twenty years. 
							She was known for the extraordinary helpfulness and 
							counsel she provided to all her customers.
 
 She was a former member of the PTA, Lincoln Women’s 
							Club, ALMH Volunteers, OASIS, St. John’s United 
							Church of Christ and for over 60 years, a member of 
							the Abraham Lincoln D.A.R. Chapter

							Alice loved bridge, reading, travel 
							and shopping with her best friend Marie Logan, 
							sister-in-law Evelyn (Row) Fulkerson and dear 
							friends Bob and Lee Schall. 
 The family appreciates the great care and support 
							she had from staff and friends at Christian Village 
							Congregate Building and Vonderleith Nursing Home.
 
 A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. 
							Tuesday, December 4th at St John’s United Church of 
							Christ.
 
 In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations 
							to St. John's United Church of Christ or to the 
							Christian Village Special Projects fund, both in 
							Lincoln.
 
 Arrangements for Alice have been entrusted to 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
