			 [December 05, 2018]
The Lincoln College Men’s Basketball team trailed by three at
halftime, but used a strong second-half shooting performance,
including hitting some clutch three-pointers down the stretch, to
pull out a 73-72 victory over the Missouri Valley College Vikings on
			Monday evening.
MVC came into the game looking to avenge a seven-point defeat they
suffered to the Lynx earlier in the season. Things seemed to be
going in the Viking’s favor early on as they built a 12-point lead
in the first half. Lincoln began to turn the tide mid-way through
the period and was able to close the gap to 35-32 at the break.

In the second half, MVC seemed to regain control with seven minutes
to go as they went on an 11-0 run to go up by five (66-61) with four
minutes left to play. The Vikings led 71-67 with just over a minute
to go, but a Trayvon Tyler (Rockford) three-pointer cut the lead to
one. Following a MVC free-throw, Senior Forward J.J. Turner
(Chicago) hit another three with just 27 seconds to go to put
Lincoln ahead 73-72. The Lynx held off the Vikings in the final
seconds to secure their seventh win of the season and move to 7-6 on
			the year.

assists with nine. Senior guard Lejavius Johnson (Glenwood) scored
20 points including going 7-for-10 from the free throw line. Darnell
Latham Jr. (Chicago) added ten points and Senior Julian Powell
(Baytown, TX) led the team with nine rebounds.
LC’s road trip through Missouri continues this evening as they
travel to Rolla, MO to take on the Missouri S&T at 7:00 PM.
