			The Mount Pulaski Honeybears are headed to the 2018 Eighth Grade 
			Class 1A State Tournament. The Honeybears defeated Hume-Shiloh 44-32 
			on Wednesday night to clinch the Sectional Championship hosted by 
			Decatur LSA. 
 Mount Pulaski dominated the game early with a 15-4 lead at the end 
			of the first quarter.
 
 By halftime Mount Pulaski was in control 24-11 over Hume-Shiloh.
 
 Mount Pulaski maintained a 32-20 third quarter lead and had no 
			trouble closing out the 44-32 win.
 
 Alexis Wade led Mount Pulaski with 18 points. Je'Na Rentmeister had 
			12 points and 4 steals for the Honeybears. Hailee Daigh contributed 
			6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the win.
 
 Mount Pulaski (21-4) has earned a date with WLB (21-0) in the 
			opening round of the State Tournament on Saturday at Clinton Junior 
			High School. Game time is 2:30 p.m. The winner will play later that 
			night at 6:30 p.m. in Clinton.
